Fashion students of the University of Northampton at the Graduate Fashion Week

On Monday 2nd of June, together with Richard Byles (Technican Demonstrator in Video Product from the University of Northampton and one of my journalism tutors from the first year) and a few students, I went to the Graduate Fashion Week to support our fashion students who took part in the Graduate Fashion Show.

We arrived at around 11am, however, because the catwalk of students from University of Northampton was planned for 3.30pm, we had a couple of hours which I spent on tweeting about the event, supporting fashion students, and talking to students from other universities who gathered in large numbers on the three floors of The Old Truman Brewery on 11 Hanbury Street in London.
The best Fashion, Printed Textiles for Fashion, and Footwear and Accessories students (and designers) from the University of Northampton have been presenting their work on a promotional stand and on a catwalk. We could see that each designer presented different style and aprroach, however, all of them were spectacular and proved to be very talented. During the show, the catwalk room was filled with a countless number of people, and there were barely any empty seats. After the show, the promotional stand of fashion students from the University of Northampton got very crowdy, which showed that students presented a high-quality and interesting work.

I liked all the showcased collections, however, I have my favourites.

One of them was collection of Emma Allen who offered a spectacular, in my opinion, combos of checks in various shapes and sizes.

The second proposition created by Yasmine Brassington, featured black outfits, mainly consisted of sophisticated coats and dresses.

The third one I liked was a pastel collection, which was a proposition from Jessica McFarlane. Even though I don't really wear beanies, they actually matched the big and fluffy coats.

The last womenswear collection I liked was presented by Louisa Grace. She offered 'feather' and ruffle dresses and skirts. The collection was very feminine, and I would definitely wear every single piece from it.

And at last, Amber Taylor showcased a menswear collection which featured different types of checks. The perfectly tailored suits would turn any man in a gentelman.

And at last, me a few minutes before the show...
