Festival fashion

The summer has officially begun  and so has the festival season, so it’s now time to update your wardrobe with some new clothes, shoes and accessories which you could wear when dancing, when sitting on the grass while listening to the music, and when doing any other festival activities.
When preparing an outfit for a festival, you have to remember that the most important thing is that you need to feel comfortable. Festivals are the one place where any fashion goes – yet it doesn’t mean you can pull random clothes out of your wardrobe and put them on without thinking. If  you normally wear smart casual outfits – this time leave them at home. Of course, festival is still a special occasion,  but you don’t want look too dressy. You have to keep in mind that festivals are open air events so if it starts raining, you will have nowhere to hide from it (unless you plan to take a tent with you). Casual style is your do, and it will be the most suitable for this type of event. Except comfortable clothes, there is no specific ‘code’ that you have to follow when attending festival. Yet if you still want to look stylish and fashionable, you just need to read a few fashion-savvy festival tips, which I prepared for you.
You can look both casual and stunning by wearing a maxi dress. If you want to add yourself some height or you simply like wearing heels, platform sandals are the best choice, particularly these with chunky heels. If you don’t want your favourite stilettos sinking into a muddy field, then better leave them at home.
The crop top is both fashionable and comfortable, particularly when the temperature goes up. If you’re not so keen to show off your belly button, you can pair it with high-waisted jeans, shorts or a maxi skirt. This season you can also wear a printed t-shirt. Primark has in offer a wide range of different ones. You can choose from various prints starting with Bob Marley and finishing with cartoons and Aztec prints. It’s up to you if you pair it with denim acid wash shorts or a skater skirt. Camis is another trendy type of top this summer. It looks good paired with anything: it’s your choice if you pick faux-leather shorts or jeans.
A check shirt will never go out of festival fashion. It’s always safe to take it with you if you’re unsure what to wear. According to fashion trendsetters, you can borrow it from your boyfriend or simply buy it in H&M. You can choose from different colours, depending on your taste. If you want to look fashionable, tie it around your waist. You can put it on in the evening, when the temperature goes down and you start to feel cold.

As they say, an outfit is nothing without accessories, so don’t forget about them. They can truly make your outfit stand out. Firstly, remember about a bag. Its’ size depends on what you want to take with you. You can choose a suede one with fringes: it goes with any festival outfit and looks luxurious. Also, a pair of comfortable shoes  is essential. New Look is the best one stop destination for ballet pumps, sandals and chunky heels. Additionally, wear sunglasses (mirrored aviators and round ones are the best choice for this summer), fedora hat or flower headband, and you’re ready to go. Remember that style is important, but in the end it’s all about comfort, because you want to be able to dance all night!
